complete series on DVD with the release of THE SECRETS
OF ISIS –
THE COMPLETE SERIES! When science teacher Andrea Thomas (JoAnna Cameron) discovers an amulet on an archaeological dig, she discovers something else: that the amulet can grant her the powers once wielded by the mighty Egyptian Goddess, Isis. Soaring as the falcon soars, running with the speed of gazelles, the transformed Andrea fights crime and rights wrongs in addition to imparting the wisdom of the ages. Her closest friends, fellow teacher Rick Mason (Brian Cutler) and students Cindy Lee (Joanna Pang) and Renee Carrol (Ronalda Douglas) are unaware of her secret identity and mystical powers… the only one who knows the truth is her pet crow, Tut!
The complete series – 22 episodes in all – will be available on a three-DVD set from BCI for the suggested retail price of $29.98 on July 24, 2007, with special features that include the complete first issue of THE LEGEND OF ISIS comic book from Bluewater Productions.
“Even though we’re telling the story of a very different Isis than seen in the television series, it’s exciting to be part of the mythology and to be embraced by the producers of this DVD,” said Darren G. As a character, Isis herself was revolutionary: she was the first live-action female super-heroine on Saturday mornings. A spin-off of the popular SHAZAM! series starring Captain Marvel, THE SECRETS OF ISIS became one of the most popular shows in the all-important block of Saturday morning programming.
Included on this DVD set are a variety of documentaries and interviews, along with comic book features that Bluewater Productions’ complete 22-page issue of “The Legend of Isis” comic book, with all-new cover by Rantz - of Bluewater’s upcoming “Jason and the Argonauts” series.
This release will be supported with a print campaign and Internet exposure including viral video and targeted advertising, as well as special distribution at Comic-Con 2007.
